The four rituals

Winter's is a candle lit together the morning of the wedding, burning until the reception ends — a steady flame for a marriage built the same way. Spring's is a planting done the week of the wedding, even one pot on a windowsill, so something living grows alongside the marriage.

Summer's is dinner outside the evening before, barefoot if you can manage it, one last turn of the season before it becomes about the two of you. What the forecast is, precisely

It is a written reading rather than a generated one: everybody marrying into the same season under the same moon phase receives the same words, and what makes it personal is where your date landed. What if my wedding is near a change of season?

The month decides. A wedding on the first of March reads as spring and the last day of February reads as winter, whatever the weather is doing outside.

Do I need to know my moon phase already?

Is there anything to do besides reading it?
