How a date earns its glow

Underneath, the tool scores dates numerically. Every candidate is checked against a wedding-date numerology score, and only dates clearing 82 out of 100 enter the pool at all, which leaves thirty strong candidates. Each of those is then checked for the phase overhead and given a glow bonus.

A Full Moon adds six points, the single biggest jump available. Waxing Gibbous adds four. Waxing Crescent and First Quarter add three each, a New Moon adds two, Waning Gibbous adds one, and the two closing phases add nothing. The thirty are re-ranked on that combined glow, and the top five come back with the phase named and what that sky is generally taken to mean.

What the phases are saying

Full Moon dates take the biggest lift because the sky is at full attention: nothing half-lit, nothing held back. If you want a celebration that photographs as larger than life, this is the phase to chase.

Waxing phases favour promises meant to keep growing. A waxing crescent sits close behind on points and suits a small ceremony nobody expects to stay small.

New Moon dates are the quiet ones: an intimate, fresh-page sky, best for a private ceremony or a registry morning with three people in the room.

The waning phases read as gratitude rather than ambition — lovely for a celebration of what you already are, and best matched to a kept-close guest list.
