The other six threads are the Second Layer, the Borrowed Thread, the Bright Seam, the Trailing End, the First Fold and the Quiet Hem. Each one arrives with its own single line, and each line is written as something said to you rather than about you — that is the tone the whole oracle is built on.

Behind the one-line whisper is the blessing: a full paragraph explaining what the thread means in the legend's own terms and what it is asking of you this week. The Loose Stitch, for instance, is explained through the deliberate imperfections the old brides left so the next wearer would have something of her own to finish — which is why that thread asks you to stop chasing the flawless version of whatever you are making. The Hidden Pearl grants permission to keep a piece of good news quiet a little longer, on the grounds that some things are only entirely yours while they are still secret.
